These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Cinnacode, an AI-powered coding assistant provided as a Visual Studio Code extension and associated backend services (the "Service"), operated by Sailendra ("we," "us," "the operator"), an individual developer based in India. By registering for an account, installing the extension, or purchasing credits, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Cinnacode provides AI-generated code suggestions, explanations, fixes, and related assistance, powered by third-party large language models (currently Anthropic's Claude). The Service operates on a prepaid credit system — you purchase or receive credits, and each interaction (chat message, inline completion, or edit) consumes a fixed number of credits.
You may register as a guest (using name, email, and country) or by connecting a GitHub account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access key and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.
3. AI-generated code — no warranty, no liability
Cinnacode generates code, explanations, and suggestions using an AI model. AI-generated output can be incorrect, insecure, incomplete, or inadvertently similar to existing copyrighted or licensed code. You are solely and entirely responsible for reviewing, testing, validating, and deciding whether to use any code, suggestion, or output produced through the Service before incorporating it into any project, product, or system.
This includes, without limitation, responsibility for: security vulnerabilities introduced by AI-suggested code; software licensing or intellectual property conflicts arising from AI-generated output; data loss, corruption, or downtime resulting from applied suggestions; regulatory, compliance, or contractual violations caused by code you chose to use; and any commercial, financial, or reputational loss connected to your use of the Service's output.
Cinnacode and its operator bear no liability whatsoever for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, any output generated through the Service. You use all AI-generated output entirely at your own risk and discretion.
You agree not to use the Service to generate malware, exploit code, or anything intended to cause harm; to violate any applicable law or third party's rights, including intellectual property rights; to attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or circumvent the Service's rate limits, credit system, or security controls; or to resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written permission.
Credits are purchased in prepaid packs through our payment partner, Razorpay. Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR). Credits expire 9 months from the date of purchase and are automatically removed from your account after this period. We recommend using your credits within this window. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details on refunds.
You retain ownership of code you write and of your own project files. We claim no ownership over your code. AI-generated suggestions are provided as-is; because AI output cannot be guaranteed original, you assume responsibility for confirming it does not infringe on third-party rights before use, as described in Section 3.
The Service depends on third-party infrastructure (including Anthropic's API and our hosting providers) and may experience downtime, degraded performance, or interruptions outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or fraudulent payment activity, without obligation to refund unused credits in cases of confirmed abuse or fraud.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
